Do you have to be a school teacher to submit a story?
No. As long as it’s a story about teaching you can submit it. You can be a school teacher, tutor, college professor, soccer coach, dance instructor, piano teacher or countless other types of teachers. You just need a teaching story!
Who created this site?
A school teacher from British Columbia, Canada who has taught both elementary school and high school.
How did it start?
I was working as a teacher-on-call and was sitting in the staff room during lunch one day. I saw a teacher that I did my teaching practicum with and she started to tell me all these hilarious stories from her kindergarten class. My eyes were watering by the end of the lunch hour from all her stories. Before she left, I told her that those were some great stories and there should be a place where people can share their funny teaching stories. Before long I found myself starting this website!
Do I have to sign up and be a member?
Yes. You need to create an account with us in order to submit a story or to comment on a story. You do not need an account to read the stories or to rate a story. If you have an account people can click on your user name and read all the stories that you have posted.
How do I change my password?
You’ll notice that after you sign up for an account, you’ll have to retrieve a computer generated password from your email. Once you have signed in with this password click on ‘Profile’ and scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your new password that you would like to use.
I’ve sent in a story. Now what?
Take a look under ‘Recent Stories’ and you’ll see your story.
Why was my story not posted, removed or edited?
Probably because you used someone’s full name, a school name or you wrote something inappropriate. Please read over your story and check for spelling mistakes and avoid short hand and text language. You can repost your story after you’ve made the appropriate changes. If it’s something small then an administrator will edit your story and repost it for you. If you’re not sure, contact us.

We respect the privacy of teachers and students and their anonymity is of the utmost importance to us.
